Surgical Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty surgery aims to improve the appearance of your nose.

It is indicated and practiced for either aesthetic reasons or to correct a nasal deformity caused by a facial trauma (accident), nasal tumor or congenital malformation (birth).

The surgery’s purpose is to modify the nose so that it harmonizes with the other elements of your face.

 

 

To preserve or improve your nose’s function, septoplasty (correction of the septum inside the nose) is completed throughout the rhinoplasty.

Some Ear, nose and throat specialists at the Polyclinique Centre-Ville are expert in facial plastic surgery, specifically in rhinoplasty.

Preoperative meetings (before the operation) are crucial. You will meet the surgeon at least twice in order to discuss the changes you need for your nose, to clarify expectations and goals of the surgery. At these meetings, the procedure itself, expected results, possible risks, complications and postoperative counseling are explained in order to make an informed decision.

Cosmetic rhinoplasty surgeries are not reimbursed by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ). The cost of a rhinoplasty is determined by the complexity and the type of intervention. You will be informed of the price during your pre-operative visits and you will have the opportunity to discuss it with your surgeon.
