Dehiscence of the superior canal

The patient suffers mainly from a hyperacusis (noise intolerance) and an instability type of oscillopsia (difficulty to watch objects when the body is in motion).

In cases where the patient is symptomatic and does not tolerate symptoms, surgery may be performed to obliterate dehiscence. The obliteration of the superior semicircular canal dehiscence will almost completely disappear symptoms.

The specialists at the Polyclinique Centre-Ville have one of the largest series of patients who underwent this very delicate surgery.
