Dysphagia
Swallowing disorders that can manifest clinically in different ways: food blockage in the throat with or without breathing problems, coughing when swallowing (food aspiration into the lungs) etc. The causes are multiple including paralysis of one vocal cord, neurological disease, obstruction by a mass or tumor, diverticulum or even simply the normal aging process.
