Thyroid nodule

After 40 year-old, over 50% of people have a thyroid nodule (lump in the thyroid). The vast majority of these nodules are benign and require no treatment. However, between 2 and 5% significant nodules are cancers and must be treated. An adequate review is used to determine which nodules are cancerous. If you have a lump in your thyroid, do not delay in seeking an ENT.
At Polyclinique Centre-Ville, we perform a thyroid needle biopsy under ultrasound guidance in the presence of a pathologist; therefore you can get your results immediately after the test.
